Colorbond Fencing with Louvre Inserts Sydney

A louvre-top Colorbond fence has standard Colorbond sheets below and a 250 mm aluminium louvre insert in a 300 mm frame above. The blades are fixed at an angle, so from the neighbour's side you cannot see through, but air and light pass freely – ideal around outdoor living areas and pools.

New fences are built to 1.8 m or 2.1 m total height with standard 2.4 m or extended 3.1 m panels. If your existing Colorbond fence is sound, the same louvres can be added as a 300 mm or 600 mm height extension on matching post extensions. Louvres, frame and sheets can each be a different colour at no extra cost.

Matching louvre gates are available, as are full-height aluminium louvre screens and fences.

Privacy with airflow

Solid sheeting to full height can make a small yard feel boxed in and stops the breeze. Louvres solve both: at eye level from next door they read as solid, but standing near them you still get light and air. They also break up the visual mass of a long fence.

Can you see through louvres?

Not from a normal standing position on the other side – the blades are angled and overlap. Directly underneath, looking up, you can see sky between them, which is what lets light and air through.

Are the louvres Colorbond?

The louvre blades are powder-coated aluminium colour-matched to Colorbond colours; the sheets, posts and rails are genuine Colorbond steel.

Which way do the louvres face?

Standard is blades angled down towards your side so the neighbour's view is blocked. Tell us if you want the reverse.
