How Colorbond is painted
Colorbond can be repainted if it is not rusted: clean the fence, apply one coat of metal primer, then two coats of exterior paint. Spraying gives the best finish. If rust is present we quote to replace the affected sheets or rails first – painting over rust does not last. We only build Colorbond fencing and gates, so we know which components to check.
Timber fences
Treated pine takes paint or stain well once it has dried for a few weeks after installation. Older fences are cleaned and loose palings re-fixed before coating.
